Please read these instructions before sending in your cellular phone.

  1. Prepare the cellular phone for shipment
  2. Before sending cellular phone, remove the battery from the phone and wrap separately. Do not send in any other accessories with the phone (headphone, holster, etc.) Wrap the cellular phone and the battery in a suitably protective enclosure such as a well padded envelope, then put the padded envelope into a small box. Minilec is not responsible for any damage that may occur when your cellular phone is shipped in.

  3. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to show the repair form.
  4. Please print the form and fill it out. If you request software upgrade, it is essential that you accurately indicate the phone's service provider.

    Check one of the boxes under the heading "Not to exceed parts cost of:". If the phone requires a higher amount than you have checked, we will call to make a final determination

    Please read and understand the stored information waiver in the double-lined box. You must choose one of the two boxes and initial your choice.

    The price of $23.95 includes return shipping. We return ship your phone via ground delivery. Faster return shipping is available with prior arrangement.

  5. In order to have the phone repaired under warranty, proof of purchase (POP) must be established.
  6. Include a copy of your proof of purchase with the cellular phone you send in.

    Proof of purchase must be a bill of sale or receipt and must be from a retailer, reseller, agent, dealer, distributor or carrier. Must contain the following information:

    • Place of purchase
    • Date of purchase
    • The pager’s 11-digit decimal ESN or 8-digit hexadecimal ESN
    • Your name and/or your company’s name

    Manufacturers do not accept POP’s from pawn shops, flea market, auction houses, auction websites, emails or handwritten notes.

    Please Note:  Standard warranty covers defects in material or workmanship only.  It does not cover Defects or damage that result from: (a) use of the Products in a manner that is not normal or customary; (b) improper operation or misuse; (c) accident or neglect such as dropping the Products onto hard surfaces; (d) contact with water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration; (e) contact with sand, dirt or the like; or (f) contact with extreme heat, or spills of food or liquid.

    The Manufacturer's warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the pager, including any scratches, cracks or other damage to a display screen, lens or other externally exposed parts.

  7. Fill out the credit card information on the form and send the completed form with the cellular phone.
  8. Please do not forget to sign the form in the place provided for the credit card holder's signature. Include your proof of purchase if you have one.

    We recommend you use a carrier with tracking capability such as UPS, Federal Express, etc. and insure the package. In most cases your cellular phone will be serviced within five business days after it arrives here at Minilec. It will then be shipped back to you via 3-day delivery. Express service is available for an additional charge. Call our Customer Service number listed below for Express service details.
